Peacefully, on March 27, 2025, surrounded by family, Judy Marie James (Roy) passed away at the age of 75 at home in Sarnia, Ontario. She was born on September 29, 1949, to Marg (2012) & Sid (1995) Roy in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Judy attended Central High School in Sarnia and met her husband of 56 years, Brian James (February 12, 1946 - April 2, 2024), and married six months later. She is survived by her daughters Tracey Machan (Ken), Kelly James (Dennis Hamel) and Corrie James, and her pride and joy, her grandchildren Craig and Brianne Machan. She is also survived by her brothers Gary (Cheryl) and Dale (Mariette) as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by Brian's parents Kitty and Fred and his brother Fred. Judy loved thrifting, watching movies, having fries under the bridge with Coca-Cola, and spending time with her family through camping, or returning to Nova Scotia. Her greatest legacy is being an amazing advocate for her daughter Corrie, who has Down Syndrome and faced many challenges and successes in her life, currently supporting her through a dementia diagnosis. Judy’s sense of humour, ability to “MacGyver” things, and love for her family will be deeply missed by many. As Judy requested, no funeral or memorial service will be held, but she encourages you not to be sad she is gone, but know she will be with her husband and family to welcome Corrie and us into heaven when the time comes. Great appreciation is sent to the entire palliative care team for providing the care quickly, with great skill and kindness.
