Following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease and dementia, Barry Arnold Hoskin of Wyoming, Ontario, passed away, surrounded by family, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia on January 9, 2025, at the age of 67 years.
Barry spent much of his life turning wrenches and repairing trucks. Many knew him as "Bear", the service manager at International Tire in Sarnia. He found peace in the open road, often taking time for a quiet drive to reflect and enjoy the journey.
Barry will be missed by his wife Alice of 45 years, his three children Tom (Ryann), Bob (Jenna), and Laura (Sean); seven grandchildren Jayde, Logan, Jake, James, Blaire, Natalie and Isabella. Barry's memory will be cherished by his brothers and in-laws: Kevin (Denise), Dave (Sally) and Rob (Sandra) as well as their families. He will also be fondly remembered by his Dufton in-laws and their families. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold "Speedy" and Shirley Hoskin.
Cremation was carried out in accordance with Barry's wishes. A private family Celebration of Life will take place at a later time. Those wishing to donate in memory of Barry are asked to consider Parkinson Canada.
