Peacefully, surrounded by family and loved friends at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia, Marilyn Holman passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on December 9, 2023 at the age of 72. Marilyn was predeceased by her loving husband of over 30 years Robert Holman (2003) and is survived by her children Jennifer Polonio (Chris) and Michael Holman (Kerry). Loving sister to Gloria Mullen (John) Marilyn is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Isabel Mullen and brother Tom Mullen. Marilyn’s legacy will be remembered and live on through her over 50 year career as a Physio/Occupational Therapist that has helped thousands of children with special needs throughout Lambton County and Ontario develop the skills they would need to achieved fulfilled lives. Marilyn found joy in life through her undying passion for her career, dining out with dear friends, enjoying old British television programs or sitting on her back porch reading a good book snuggled up next her to grand dog Rosie. Marilyn’s family would like to express their incredible gratitude to all the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their incredible care, compassion and love they showed to Marilyn and to her family at such a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, Marilyn’s family is requesting that her memory live on through donations to The Make-A-Wish foundation or locally to The Pathway’s Centre for Children (cheques only at the funeral home please).
