George Emile Handfield passed away on September 25, 2024, at AgeCare Parkhill at the age of 94.
As a teenager George found his way to London, Ontario. Later he moved to Port Franks and became a general contractor. Many of the homes he built remain.
George’s passion was flying, he got his pilot’s license and enjoyed owning many small planes. He was happiest in the air, behind the controls.
George is predeceased by his first wife Reta Jaeger, his second wife Louisa (Lou) and his third wife Lois Tilden, and is survived by his children Dave, Shelley and Mike and their families.
Many thanks to Wilma and Eric Bastiaansen for all their help and kindness, and to the staff at The Country Manor in Thedford and AgeCare in Parkhill for taking care of George in his later years.
