Peacefully at Marshall Gowland Manor. Margaret was the beloved spouse of Donald for 58 years. Loving mother of their 3 children, Paul (Amalia) of Kingsville, Andrea (Dan) Luker of Port Lambton, and Carol (Steve) Bolt of Stittsville. Special grandmother to five grandchildren, Mitchell Haggart, Aaron and Katelyn Luker, and Olivia and Ryan Bolt. Also surviving are her brother John (Helen) McPhail of Warman, SK and his family and step family. Two sisters-in-law Elizabeth Haggart and Kathleen Haggart. Predeceased by her parents Duncan and Dorothy (Littlejohns) McPhail, her parents-in-law Dave and Ada Haggart, and sister-in-law Linda McPhail (2005). The family wishes to express their appreciation for the Health Care Professionals who cared for Margaret over the past 3 years. The nurses and PSWs at Marshall Gowland Manor for their gentle kindly care. The PSWs from Bayshore, and nurses at Bluewater Health Cancer Clinic. Her physicians Micheal Stoesser, Keneth Yoshida and Melanie Crozier. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to Bluewater Health Cancer Clinic or the Alzheimer's Society (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
