Surrounded by her loving family, Judith (Judy) Gratton peacefully passed away on March 6, 2025. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Rolland (Rolly) Gratton for 54 wonderful years.

Judy was a cherished mother to Karry Hooper, Allan Gratton (Mandy), and Keith Gratton (Dawn), and a proud grandmother to Mariah Hooper (Richard), Kelsey Hooper (Ben), Katelyn Gratton, Daniel Gratton, Anthony Gratton, and Ashley Gratton.

She is survived by her brothers Brian, René, Kirk, Dave, Wayne, and Charlie Beauvais, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Joyce and Henry Beauvais, her sister Blanche, and her brother Ronald.

Born on March 30, 1952, in Sarnia, Ontario, Judy spent her early years in the Niagara and Southwestern Ontario regions. In addition to raising three wonderful children, she worked at Nabisco Food Company in Dresden until her retirement.

Judy and Rolly shared a love for camping, spending many summers in Goderich, Ontario, making treasured memories with family and friends. She had a passion for card and dice games, a knack for finding hidden gems at yard sales, and an undeniable talent for winning at turkey bingos—always ensuring her freezer was stocked with goodies for family gatherings.

An incredible cook, Judy’s love for baking and preparing meals brought joy to everyone at her table. Her famous Christmas dinner Shapoy and her delicious chocolate and sugar pies will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. Above all, Judy’s greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, creating a lifetime of cherished moments.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Bluewater Health in Sarnia for their compassion and care in Judy’s final hours.

Cremation has taken place. A private service for immediate family will be held, followed by a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Breast Cancer Canada https://breastcancerprogress.ca/, Canadian Cancer Society https://donate.cancer.ca/,or the Kidney Foundation of Canada https://kidney.ca/ in Judy’s memory.
