On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Gerald returned to his home in Heaven and into the arms of our Lord and Saviour.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Annette, their two daughters, Laura and Rebecca and three very loved grandchildren Cylas, Lily and Hayden. Dearest fur buddy Schreck. He is survived by his brother, Victor (Hudge), sister-in-law, Kim and sisters Toni and Debbie (Jim). He will be missed by his nieces, Ashley, Kay, Kea and Shay. Special ‘uncle’ to Senny. Predeceased by his parents Victor and Eloise George.

Gerald was very passionate about truth, justice and politics and cared very deeply for his community. He served as Band Councillor for the Chippewas of Kettle & Stony Point First Nation. He was an avid supporter of youth and for a time, led a youth group in the community. He loved the outdoors and hunting. A real “foodie”, he loved to be in the kitchen cooking a most delicious homemade recipe. He would talk food with anyone. Family was really important to him and sitting around a table with everyone to enjoy conversation and good food was what he really delighted in.

Thank you to all medical professionals and personnel at Bluewater Health, London Health Sciences Centre, Parkwood Rehabilitation, Erie-St. Clair LHIN, Kettle Point Health Centre and North Lambton Community Health Centre who assisted Gerald during his illness.

Gerald will be resting at the Hillside Auditorium for visiting on Tuesday, October 22 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A private Funeral Service will be held at Faith Builders International Church on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Interment at Kettle Point Cemetery with Pastor Murray Shawnoo officiating.
