With saddened hearts we say goodbye to our Poppy, Patrick Charles Foster (Pat The Painter). He passed peacefully at Bluewater Health on Tuesday April 8th, 2025.

Patrick was a proud Sarnia man born and raised. He painted the city many colours while he ran his painting business for 47 years.

Pat was a legendary professional poker player and he loved to travel around with his beloved wife Barbara, to play poker and meet new people.

POKER WAS LIFE.

He also had a passion for football and would tell many stories about how he was a football player in high school. He loved the Detroit Lions.

He attended St. Patrick's High School and never let us forget that he was voted "most popular student" in grade 10.

Pat Foster was a patient man. He loved without boundaries and he was always there to help anyone when they needed it. He was a wonderful family man who stood tall in the hardest of moments to be a pillar of strength for us.

He was dedicated to his community and spent many years serving with the Kinsmen Club, CNIB and The Lion's Club.

Pat was a great jokester and always knew when to tell a good joke but more importantly when to laugh at one. He will forever be missed by those he left behind.

We love you so much Poppy & we will miss you everyday. XO.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Dustan). Dear father of the late Dustan Foster (Lisa) and step-father of Scott Landon and the late Tiana Landon. Loving grandfather of Tiffany Burnett (Brent) and Stephen Foster. Beloved great-grandfather of Keeghan and Farrah Lucas. Brother of Doreen Steele (Foster) (Dick Marcella) and Jim Foster. Pat will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, especially Karla Ann Kelley and special family friend Carole Abraham. Predeceased by parents Stanley and Juanita Foster and sister Gail Mattingly (Barry).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.  A private interment will take place at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to The McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 519-344-3131. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Church, 1011 Oak Ave., Sarnia, N7S 1J4. Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
