Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Monday, April 22, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Mary Ann Fleming passed away at the age of 81.

Mary Ann was a teacher for 30 years with the Lambton Kent School Board. She became the first female Commodore of the Sarnia Yacht Club in 1992 and was an avid boater all of her adult life. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of Gilbert Fleming for 28 years. Loving mother of Julie (John) Chidwick, Pam (Sherman) Neil, Cherished grandmother of Matt (Kasy), Katie (Brad), Megan (Alan), Scott (Angela). Mary Ann was a proud Great Grandmother of 9, Dear sister of Julia (Don) Keck and Aunt to Chris and Shawn Keck. Predeceased by her parents, Donald and Melba Townsend and brother Kenneth.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at Smith Family Centre on Sunday, May 26th, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. In keeping with Mary Ann’s wishes, a private interment will be held.
