Danny Wilson Fields passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 15th, surrounded by family at Chatham-Kent Hospice. Born and raised in Wallaceburg, Danny will be reunited with his parents, Dorothy (nee Anderson) and Norman Fields. Beloved husband of Sharon (Little) Fields for almost 54 years. Proud father of children Jeff Fields (Joanne), Andrew (Julie) Fields, Amanda (James) Howlett and Erin (Rob) Burnett. Cherished by his 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and special friends Bill and Ann. Dan will be lovingly remembered by his siblings; Rick (Kerry) Fields, Norma (Dave) Cogghe, Mike (Wendy) Fields, Tracy (Ron) Metcalfe, predeceased by Sandy and Rick Couture. Dan and Sharon would love to spend their Sunday mornings enjoying a coffee and a McDonald’s breakfast here in Wallaceburg, followed by visiting their children & families. They would also enjoy a nice weekend away at the Caesars Windsor Casino watching the live shows and playing the slots. Dan worked at the Superstore in Chatham for many years as the manager in the meat and seafood departments and always appreciated a good deal! The Fields family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and Chatham-Kent Hospice for taking care of our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather in his last few days and weeks and making our family comfortable during this difficult time. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 1pm until the time of his service at 3pm. If you desire to place a donation in Danny’s memory to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or the Ronald McDonald House Charities, it may be left at the funeral home.
