Jane Ferguson, a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, after a courageous five-year battle with ovarian cancer. Jane’s strength, grace, and courage inspired all who knew her. Born on January 27, 1949, Jane was a beacon of love, kindness, and resilience throughout her life. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Ferguson, who stood by her side through every challenge. Together, they shared many cherished moments, including their mutual love for fishing. Jane cherished many trips out on the boat with Ron and their various dogs over the years, where they created countless happy memories together. Jane enjoyed a rewarding career as a pediatric nurse at Sarnia General Hospital, where her compassionate care and dedication touched the lives of many young patients and their families. Jane’s greatest joys were her daughters, Kelly and Christa, and her grandchildren, Abby, Ethan, Myles, Max, and Sofia. Her love for them was boundless, and her pride in their achievements was evident to all who knew her. She is also survived by her cherished sister, Cathy, whose support and companionship provided Jane with great comfort and laughter. Throughout her illness, Jane faced every challenge with remarkable courage and determination. Her brave fight against cancer was matched only by the unwavering support of her loving family, friends, and her faithful dog, Zoey. Their presence was a constant reminder of how deeply she was cherished and the profound impact she made on those around her. Jane's family would like to thank Dr. MacSweeney and the staff at Palliative Care for the compassionate care she received. Jane will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends in the coming weeks. In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cancer Society to honour Jane’s memory. Jane will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Arrangements entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.
