Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Twin Lakes Terrace Nursing Home, Mary Virginia Fairbanks passed away at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Robert Fairbanks. Loving mother of the late Monty Wehring and the late Michael Wehring. Dear sister of Catherine (Birt) Passingham. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Margaret Sitter, her sister and brother-in-law Maxine (Conrad) Lalonde. She will be missed by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and special friends Lucy and Joyce. Mary loved birds and cared for several over the years. She lived in Florida for many years and up until recently she resided at Green Haven. Known as Mama Bear to a close group of friends “The Bears”. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Inn of the Good Shepherd (cheques only at the funeral home please).
