Dorothy EVELYN Evers of Wallaceburg and formerly of Tiverton passed away in London on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the age of 76. Evelyn is the loving daughter of Helen Marie (Fournie) Vandevenne and the late Romain. Beloved wife of Phil Evers. Dear sister of Janet Card (Jim), Bill Vandevenne (Sherry), Keith Vandevenne (Cherie) and Marian Walsh (Jim). Evelyn will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her many quilting and sewing friends. Evelyn was a very talented golfer, and her love for the sport inspired her and her husband Phil to build and operate the Somerhill Golf Course in Tiverton. Evelyn had a great passion for quilting, which was evident in the many people she shared her skills with as well as the many awards she received. Family and Friends are invited to come visit with her family at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, on Thursday, September 19th, 2024 from 11am until 2pm when we will sit down and celebrate Evelyn’s Life before travelling to St. John’s Cemetery in Sombra to lay her to rest.
