Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Bluewater Health, Orville Heather Dunham passed away at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Leggate. Loving father of Connie Burke, Cathy Dunham, and Steve Dunham. Cherished grandfather of Austin, Serena (predeceased), Dawson, Nolan, and Sophie. Predeceased by his parents Heather and Hilda Dunham and his siblings Reid, Lorne, Don, and Jack Dunham.
Orville was a devoted traveler who found joy in exploring new places, whether by car or motorcycle. He loved his adventures and took great pride in his road trips, always seeking the next journey. Orville had a passion for gardening and a knack for fixing things, he was always eager to lend a hand or share a story. He dedicated 41 years of his career to the Ministry of Transportation and later spent five years maintaining the Huron House Boys Home. Orville will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. with family and friends being received one hour prior from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
