Vaughn William Dobbin, passed away at the age of 66 at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia on January 16, 2025. Survived by his siblings Gary and his wife Millie Dobbin, Ruth and her husband Dave White, and Mark and his wife Stacey Dobbin and his nieces and nephews, Nicole (Dave) Connors, Billy Dobbin (Hailey McLauchlin), Melissa Green, Curtis (Rebecca) White, Brittany (Amanda) Dobbin, Brandy (Derek) Grainger, Kelsey (Jamie Schieman) Dobbin, Karly (Julia) Dobbin. He was a doting uncle to Danielle (Matt) Blondin and their son Miles, Hannah Connors (Mike Paton) and their daughter Isabella, Olivia and Morgan Green, Abbigail, Emily, and Jaxxon White, Hailey and Liam Grainger, and Oliver and Faye Schieman. Predeceased by his parents William and Donna Dobbin.
Vaughn was a dedicated livestock and crop farmer right up until this past summer. When he was in his 20’s, he tiled and was as backhoe operator and later on worked as a welder with Duff Fabricating. He was always helping out family and friends and anyone in need, often with his father by his side – He and his dad, Bill, were not just father and son, they were inseparable best friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Petrolia Lions Hall. A private interment will take place in Hillsdale Cemetery.
Family would like to thank the dialysis units at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, and LHSC Victoria Hospital, for their compassionate care and kindness since 2022.
