Patrick Lee ‘Paddy’ Davis of London and formerly of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the age of 67, into his heavenly home to see his loving Saviour face to face. Pat was the son of the late Louis and Alice (Murray) Davis. He had a beautiful, life-long love story with his wife, Donna (Lundy) Davis; was a protective, loving father of Lisa Skinner (Jason); and a fiercely proud grandfather of Rockwell “Rocky” Patrick Skinner. Brother of David (Sue), Mike (Vicky) and the late Danny and Tim. Pat served on Council for the Town of Wallaceburg prior to being hired as staff member for MPP Marcel Beaubien and Chief of Staff for MP Bev Shipley. He was a reporter for the Wallaceburg Courier Press and the Sydenham Spotlight. Pat was also a past president of the Wallaceburg & District Chamber of Commerce and the Wallaceburg Rotary Club, and member of the Kinsmen Club. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Wallaceburg and more recently Knollwood Baptist Church in London. Pat coached hockey, juvenile baseball and the Warriors Men’s Sr. Baseball; was an avid golfer; and had a black belt in karate. He was a long-suffering but ever-optimistic Detroit Lions & Tigers Fan. Pat was known for his generous spirit; never complaining of his health issues; and always fighting to see another day. His family is eternally grateful for the excellent care provided by nurse Rose Leitch, Dr. Bob Lindsay, and the wonderful nurses at the dialysis centre of University Hospital. Family and Friends are invited to join Pat’s family for visitation at the First Baptist Church, 99 Thomas Avenue at Napier Street in Wallaceburg on Thursday, May 23 from 11:30 AM until the service at 1 PM at the church. Interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery, followed by a lunch back at First Baptist. If desired, donations to Samaritan’s Purse Canada in lieu of flowers may be left at the funeral home (519.627.3231). Fond memories and tributes may be left for the family at www.CavanaghFuneralHome.ca
