Born in Khiva, Ontario, Jack was a cherished teacher at St. Clair SS and Northern CIVS in Sarnia for 33 years as a math teacher, with many of those years spent as the Head of Mathematics. Jack was a Western University Alumnus, a long-time OSSTF member appointed to local positions including District 3 President, as well as provincial OSSTF Executive Officer.

He enjoyed hours at Sudoku and completing puzzles, but his passion was always math challenges and problems. Jack was a committed family man who loved supporting his children’s and grandchildren’s hobbies and sports, loved to tutor math, and enjoyed traveling with his family. He was a true people person with the biggest smile. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Kim, nurse Brenda, PSW John and the many medical professionals who aided in his care.
