It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nasir Chowdhery, affectionately known as "Naz," who peacefully passed away on Jan 9th, 2025 surrounded by his family at home.
Naz is survived by his loving wife, Sara Chowdhery; his cherished children, daughter Maria Chowdhery and sons Ahmer (Nida Khan) and Zane Chowdhery; and his adored grandchildren Myrah and Raza. His family was his world, and he dedicated his life to supporting and caring for them.
Naz will be best remembered as a passionate tennis player, especially enjoying doubles matches at the Sarnia Tennis Club. An avid biker, who loved cycling through the Sarnia trails and his cruises along the water. After years of dedicated service at Imperial Oil, he embraced 15 rewarding years of retirement, where he pursued his love for sports, classic rock music, and spending time playing bridge with friends.
Naz will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends, who will always cherish the time they spent with him and the care he so generously gave.
The family would like to give their deepest gratitude to his care team for continuing to keep him smiling during his journey.
In keeping with Naz’s wishes a private family service was held.
Rest peacefully, Naz. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will remain with us always.
Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
