Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Jean Carter passed away at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Robert Carter. Loving mother of Deb (Scott) Lanyon, John (Kary) McArthur, Doug (Donna) McArthur, Krista (Gary) Davis, and Michelle Carter-Collins. Cherished grandmother of Bob Huckle, Terri Dronzek, Shawn Cartland, Garret McArthur, Emma McArthur, Jason McArthur, Rachel McArthur, Jeena Pelletier, Brittany Pelletier, Ethan Pelletier, and Devlin Collins. Great-grandmother of Ryan, Jestin, Logan, Hailey, Erik, Ben, Sam, Jackson, and Peyton. Dear sister of Nancy (John) Pevec, Lori (Doug) Houlbrook, and Cal (Marlene) Gardner. Predeceased by her parents Calvin and Jean Gardner, and brothers Jim Gardner, Robert Gardner, and William Gardner. The most beautiful loving person in the world. A special thank you to Dr. MacSweeney and Dr. Spano, the staff of the Palliative Floor at Bluewater Health as well as the staff at St Joesph’s Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
