It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tracy Burns on November 30th, 2024, at University Hospital – London Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 57.

Tracy was born in Sarnia and later made her home in Port Stanley, where she built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and a cherished friend to so many.

As a proud part-owner of Port Stanley Foodland alongside her husband, Rob, Tracy became a beloved member of the community. She was well-known for her vibrant spirit and diverse passions, including scrapbooking, genealogy, home design, assisting in minor hockey, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family and friends.

Tracy will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Rob; her children, Jennifer Carter (Brian), Mitchell, Clayton, Tyson (Emily), and Logan (Mikayla); her parents, John and Jan Smith; her sister, Stephanie Parke (Joe); her brother, Jason Durocher (Stacey); Step-brother, Mark Smith (Kathy) and step-sister, Pam Smith, her sister-in-law, Rene; and her ex-daughter-in-law, Ashley Hammond.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Sawyer and Cohen, and Maxwell and Atticus. Her memory will also be cherished by her nieces and nephews, Jared, Lydia, and Connor, as well as her extended family and many loving friends.

Tracy was predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Hazel.

Despite facing numerous medical challenges, Tracy’s resilience and determination never wavered. She never stopped dreaming—of working on the house with her husband, Rob, going camping again, pursuing business ideas, and envisioning bright and wonderful futures for all of her children and grandchildren. Tracy’s warmth, compassion, and love for life left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered with love, gratitude, and admiration by all who were blessed to be a part of her life.

Visitation will take place on December 6th, 2024 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. We will say goodbye to Tracy with love and fondness on December 7th, 2024 at Dennings Funeral home in Forest, Ontario at 11am. Anyone who wishes to come to the burial afterwards is welcome. There will be no function following, thank you for your understanding through this tough time.
