Peacefully, at Bluewater Health, on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, James “Jim” William Brown passed away at the age of 70. Beloved husband of the late Maureen Walker Brown (2015). Loving brother of Ann (Sam) Donato. Cherished uncle of Mark and his children Maggie and Molly and Joel (Allie) and their child Zachary. A special mention and thank you to his dearest friend and companion Tammy Chidwick. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Jean Brown. For many years, Jim worked as a Process Operator at the Shell Chemical Plant. During his down time he loved working with tools at his cottage and completing various projects with his nephews. Jim loved his home, gardens, and his neighbours. He felt blessed with the best neighbours and he valued their friendships. Above all, Jim felt most at peace camping and canoeing with his wife Maureen out in the wilderness. The family wishes to thank the staff on the Telemetry and Palliative Care units for their thoughtfulness and care during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, no services will be held. To honour his love for all animals, especially cats, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
