Passed away peacefully at Meadowview surrounded by his boys March 28, 2024, 3 days before his 79th birthday. Don will be forever missed by his sons Bill (Heather), Michael (Pam) and Don. He was the beloved Grandpa of Liam, Finn, Brayden, Cody and Blair. Dearly loved brother to Violet Oliver (late Mel) and Florence Smith (late Ted), brother in-law to Leona Beveridge, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was predeceased by his parents Jack and Winnifred Beveridge and siblings Dorothy McMahon (late George), Margaret Belanger (late Paul), John Beveridge (late May), Sue Milner (late Ken), Jim Beveridge, Mrytle Shepherd, Bill Beveridge (late Lucy), Donna Shand (late George), and Charlie Beveridge. Also predeceased by best friend Charlie Scott.

Don was a Pipefitter with local 663, who worked his career at Polymer, Polysar then Novacor. He was a quiet man who was generous and loyal to friends and family and would always stick up for the underdog (unless it was the Detroit Red Wings). He liked to spend his time at the local coffee shops where he could enjoy the banter with friends, doing the crossword and maybe if he was lucky, have an argument or two. In Don’s younger years he would spend his spare time in the winters at the arena with his boys or summers on the golf course with friends. Don spent his retirement delivering produce that was in season to family and friends, and trying to win the lottery. Don was an avid reader who read the Louis L’Amour series so many times he knew them by heart. He loved watching old westerns, WWE wrestling, most sports and cheering on the Cleveland Indians and the Montreal Canadiens.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Taylor, and the entire staff at Meadowview for their care and compassion for Don, it truly became his home where he was comfortable, safe and loved.

A private service will take place. Interment in Wyoming cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the CEE Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca)
