At the age of 93, Joe Badduke passed away as peacefully as he lived, surrounded by loving family on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Bluewater Heath – C.E.E. Joe was born in Buchanan, Saskatchewan in 1931. He began working on the “Charles R. Huntley”, a Great-Lakes ship which brought him to Sarnia, where he met Georgette, his wife of over 65 years. Later, he worked as a salesman at Sarnia Lumber, then at the Bluewater Bridge, where he retired. Joe has been reunited with his beloved wife, Georgette Badduke (2020). Loving father of Irene (Rand) Fournier, John (Violet) Badduke, and Dwayne (Yvonne) Badduke. Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Fil) Stec, Randy (Candice) Fournier, Michelle (Mike) Buis-Eastman, Janice Badduke, Annette Badduke, Candice (Paul) Vande Wetering, Elicia (Nickel) Vernon, Hailly Badduke (Nathan), and Hilary Badduke (Sam). Treasured great-grandfather of Sivana and Porter Stec, Addison and Tristan Fournier, Ava and Tyson Buis, Cash, Jesse, Amber Muxlow, Regan Badduke and Ashley DePont, Maeve, Myles and Clay Vande Wetering, Knox, Ellis and Fifer Vernon, and Everson Ernewein Badduke. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews, and his lifelong friends Bev and the late John Corkum whom he was friends with for over 50 years. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with family and friends being received one hour prior to service. Interment to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wyoming, ON. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
