Two forwards with the Sarnia Sting were nominated for OHL awards last week.
Ryan McGregor was nominated for most outstanding player of the year and for most sportsmanlike, while Jacob Perrault was nominated for rookie of the year.
McGregor had 25 goals and 77 assists in the 61 games this season. Perrault, the son of former NHLer Yannick Perrault, had 55 points in 63 games.
Sportsmanlike and rookie of the year awards are nominated and voted on by OHL teams, while sports writers and broadcasters vote on the most outstanding player of the year.
