A group of young performers from two local dance studios will take centre stage at the Imperial Theatre when the sold-out Mini Pop Kids tour makes a stop in Sarnia next month.

"When Mini Pops Kids Live reached out to us, it felt like a golden opportunity for our kids to showcase their talents on a bigger stage,” said Allyx Smith, owner of Apex Dance Industry. "We've been practicing our skills in the studio for weeks on end, and it's truly impressive to see the dedication of these young dancers as they prepare to share the stage with seasoned professionals."

The Apex Dance Industry ensemble, comprised of 15 dancers ages four to 13, will be joined by members of Sarnia’s Steppin’ Up Dance Co., for a special appearance at the Feb. 10 show.

"It's heartening to witness our community coming together to support these young dancers,” Smith said of the collaboration between the two studios. "For many of our dancers, this marks their debut on a professional stage.

“Being a part of Mini Pops Kids Live is a significant achievement for Apex Dance Industry, and we're immensely proud of our students,” she added.

The sold-out matinee is a part of the show's extensive 32-city tour across Canada showcasing the vibrant talents of young performers delivering family-friendly renditions of chart-topping hits.

Beyond the glitz and glamour, Smith highlighted the impact such experiences have on young performers.

"It's not just about the show; it's about granting these kids a moment to shine” she said. “These opportunities boost their confidence and inspire them to pursue their passion for dance  with even greater vigour.”
