Scott Palko says everything is coming together for this weekend’s Revelree Music Festival in Sarnia’s Canatara Park.
“We’re getting pretty excited,” said the organizer of the event that features a full slate of live music lined up for Friday and Saturday nights. “We have a crew of about 70 to 80 people setting up and bringing the venue to life, and hoping the weather outlook looks good.”
Friday’s lineup includes headliners and popular Canadian rockers and five-time Juno award winners Arkells, along with electro-pop sensation Lights, and Oji-Cree singer-songwriter Aysanabee.
Local acts include Little White Lies and Gypsy Flats, followed by Kitchener/Waterloo pop/alt rockers Living Room For Small.
Saturday’s lineup is headlined by Kingston, Ontario’s The Glorious Sons, along with Canadian music legend Tom Cochrane. Also performing are rocker JJ Wilde, and local acts Born Riot, Courtney Wolfe and Brothers Wilde.
Gates open at 4 p.m. both nights.
The concerts are all-ages and general admission tickets are still available, said Palko, along with a few VIP tickets for Friday. Saturday’s VIP tickets are sold out.
“We’re definitely hearing more buzz in the last few weeks; things are picking up,” said Palko, who expects to see some 7,000 to 8,000 people through the park over the weekend.
