Sarnia Police are looking for witnesses and information after gunshots were fired in the direction of a home on Maness Court at the Aamjiwnaang First Nation, just after midnight, Wednesday.
“The gunshots were fired from inside a white SUV that had stopped in front of the residence,” a news release stated. “No one was injured as a result of this shooting and the vehicle immediately fled the scene in a southerly direction.”
Police responded to the scene, but were unable to locate the vehicle or any suspects.
"The vehicle and firearm used in the shooting remain outstanding and the motivation for it is not known,” police added.
The Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the investigation.
