An entrepreneurial student team from Lambton College placed second at the 2019 Enactus World Cup in San Jose, California last week.

Representing Canada, Lambton competed against 30 other international college and university teams to reach the finals, where it was edged by a team from Egypt.

The United States and Germany tied for third.

The second-place trophy came one year after Lambton won the Enactus World Cup, becoming the first Canadian college to ever do so.

The college is involved in a series of projects in Africa that include agricultural training, improved farming practices and a thriving peanut butter factory.
