Staff and patrons at Sarnia’s downtown library should be able to keep their cool this summer.
The city has approved $390,000 for a new air conditioning system to replace the unit that failed last August.
A tender is being prepared for the removal and replacement of the old equipment. The city is also working with an engineering firm to pre-order the needed electrical and mechanical components.
The work should be done before hot weather returns this summer, city staff says.
