Drivers can expect delays 24-7 as road crews resurface a key piece of London Road over the next few weeks.

The intersection of London and Murphy roads will be closed all day on Monday, June 19, starting at 6 a.m., to remove the current asphalt and resurface the intersection.

After that, London between Murphy and Lambton Mall roads will have some lane restrictions in place during the day until Friday, July 14, weather permitting. All businesses will remain open.

To minimize the impact on commerce, Lambton County is doing most of the resurfacing work at night. Motorists can expect more significant delays during the overnight hours and nearby residents may be impacted, with the city having granting a noise bylaw exemption for the project.

The public is asked to be aware of road workers and observe posted speed limits and other construction signs.
