The Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K recently made a donation to the Inn of the Good Shepherd to assist with the Inn’s annual backpack program, providing new backpacks to students in need for their return to school in the fall.

The club also provides volunteers to help stuff the backpacks with school supplies later in the summer.

The club also donates money to the Inn, raised by volunteering through the Jackpot Time Sarnia Bingo program. The program is run through the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association and allows a portion of the money raised at Jackpot Time to be donated to the charities and non-profit organizations that volunteer at the facility.

As a result of the fundraising, club members were able to donate $4,200 to the Inn’s Back To School Backpack Program.
