BKFC KnuckleMania V is on January 25. The main card starts at 8 p.m. ET, and depending on the length of the undercard fights, Eddie Alvarez vs. Jeremy Stephens should start around 11:30 p.m. ET.

Alvarez (30-8, 2 NC MMA, 1-1 BKFC) has won titles everywhere he's been, from UFC, Bellator, BodogFIGHT, Reality Fighting, and FIGHT MATRIX. "The Underground King" joined BKFC in 2023, competing in a war against Chad Mendes and lost against Mike Perry last December for the King of Violence Title.

The 41-year-old last headlined a fight in his hometown in 2010. While he main evented the first UFC fight card in New York, a loss against Conor McGregor left a sour taste in his mouth. He looks to prove he still has a lot left in the tank and that there's no place like home.

"I'll be able to make it up to my Philadelphia fans," Alvarez told MMA Fighting. "Look, I got my shot at Madison Square Garden. I hated the way I performed. I hated everything about it. But there's only stadium better than Madison Square Garden and that's the Well Fargo in Philadelphia.

"I fought all over the world, Russia, Japan, Tokyo, Costa Rica, all over and during these moments I may have had a hiccup or something like that but in my hometown, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, New York, all these places, I usually show up big. I'm looking forward to feeling the spirit of the Philadelphia fans behind me at the Wells Fargo on the 25th of January."

Stephens (29-21, 1 NC MMA, 2-0 BKFC) is tied for the second most knockdowns (18) in UFC history. "Lil Heathen" is 2-0 in the BKFC ring, beating Jimmie Rivera and Bobby Taylor. The 38-year-old has also competed in boxing.

The fight is at 165 pounds. Alvarez primarily fought at 155 pounds, while Stephens weighed 145 for most of his career. It will be a significant change for the Iowa-born Stephens, ready to make headlines against Philadelphia's hometown hero.

"There's a lot of questions to be answered, and I'll answer them," Stephens told MMA Junkie. "People are really going to have to respect that. You go out there and beat a guy like that with all the accolades in someone else's hometown, backyard, and willing to take the risk and step up a weight class to make sure this fight actually happens?

"You tell me. I'm taking the biggest risk for the biggest opportunity. I'm putting my b---- on the line for the fans. People may not like me, they may disagree with me all the time, but you look at the facts: Your boy right here is the real deal. I'm putting it all on the line."
