"Thunder" has become an attraction, with 12 wins via knockout. He is ranked second in the WBC rankings at 140 pounds. He doesn't plan to stay at the European level long, as he hopes to fight for world gold. He may get his wish if he can produce a memorable finish.
"I've got to go in there and put on a big performance and get the highlight-reel knockout," Smith told Boxing Scene. "That's what everybody remembers; that's what people want to go and see. They go and pay to watch entertainment, so that's what I'll be going in there to do."
Ouizza (19-2) competes in England for the first time. The French fighter is on an eleven-fight win streak and has eight wins via knockout. He has won local French gold and looks to enter the rankings at the expense of Smith's progress.
