Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood intends to pass an amending by-law to remove a Holding “H” zone symbol from Collingwood Zoning By-law No. 2010-040, as amended, under Sections 34 and 36 of the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990, c. P. 13, as amended. This application has also been deemed to be a complete submission within the meaning of Section 34(10.1) of the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990, c. P. 13, as amended.
The earliest date that Council may consider removing the Holding zone symbol is during the regular meeting of Council on Monday December 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 97 Hurontario Street, Collingwood. Location: 11589 Highway 26
The subject property is located on the south side of Highway 26, approximately 190 metres east of Vacation Inn Drive (a private road) and 280 metres east of Princeton Shores Boulevard. The property has approximately 46 metres of frontage on Highway 26 and is currently vacant.

Area: 1.2 hectares
The property is also subject to an application for Site Plan Control (Town File No. D11322) for a residential development comprised of 26 townhouse dwelling units.

Schedule “A” entitled Land Use Plan designates the subject property as Residential and Environmental Protection and Schedule “C” entitled Residential Density identifies the subject property as Medium Density Residential.
Town of Collingwood Zoning By-law
The subject property is zoned Holding Ten Residential Third Density Exception Thirty-Four [(H10) R3-34] and Environmental Protection Exception Eleven (EP-11).
The effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment to remove the Holding Ten (H10) Zone symbol from the portion of the lands zoned R3-34 is to permit a residential development comprised of 26 townhouse dwelling units. In order for the Holding Ten (H10) Zone symbol to be removed from the subject lands, Council shall be satisfied that the following matters have been addressed:
Should the Holding Ten (H10) Zone symbol be removed, the zoning for the subject portion of the lands will be Residential Third Density Exception Thirty-Four (R3-34).
