Sixteen athletes from Sarnia’s Blue Water Cheer Athletics were part of team that won a silver medal for Canada at the 2019 Junior World Cheerleading Championships last week.
The junior co-ed team, which included eight athletes and two coaches from London-based Power Cheer Gym, were competing against national teams from Chile, Thailand, South Africa and Puerto Rico in Orlando, Florida.
Sarnia coaches Sarah Faubert and Jodie Bore accompanied the local athletes, aged 11 to 16.
