Sarnia audiences will have the chance to step into a world of legends and lore this spring when Dragons and Mythical Beasts makes its Canadian debut at the Imperial Theatre. The Olivier Award-nominated production will be performed for one night only on Wednesday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m.
The family-friendly show features a range of mythical characters brought to life through large-scale puppetry, including a Stone Troll, Griffin, Unicorn, and a less-than-charming Tooth Fairy. Audiences will also encounter lesser-known creatures such as the Indrik and Japanese Baku, as the story unfolds in a fantasy world filled with dark secrets and magical encounters.
Presented by the creators of Dinosaur World Live, which toured to the Imperial stage in 2024, this new production combines immersive visuals with storytelling designed to spark the imagination of children and adults alike.
“The puppetry is mesmerizing, the storytelling is captivating, and it’s an experience that the entire family will treasure,” said Brian Austin Jr., Executive Director of the Imperial Theatre. “We’re thrilled to bring this award-winning production to our stage.”
Tickets for Dragons and Mythical Beasts are already selling quickly, according to theatre staff. A limited number of VIP upgrades are also available, which include premium seating and an exclusive post-show photo opportunity with the dragons.
