Sarnia’s Boady Santavy won three bronze medals for Team Canada at the Pan American weightlifting championships last week.
Competing in the 96-kilogram class, Santavy lifted 196 kg in the snatch, 201 kg in clean and jerk, and 370 kg in total lift at the meet in Guatemala City.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games silver medalist is the only Canadian male to already qualify for the 2019 Pan Am Games, scheduled for July 26 to Aug. 11 in Lima, Peru.
