Unvaccinated students face suspension

About 1,800 Lambton County students risk school suspension because their immunization records are not up to date, Lambton Public Health says.

About 1,800 Lambton County students risk school suspension because their immunization records are not up to date, Lambton Public Health says.

Many students on the suspension list may have already received all the required vaccines but parents and guardians didn’t report those records.

The deadline to update immunization records is March 2.

"School suspension orders are a last resort," said health protection manager Chad Ikert. “We want to work with those remaining families to ensure their students are fully vaccinated and protected and do not miss any school.”
