The United Way has issued a plea for donations as it entered the final stretch of this year’s $1,900,000 fundraising campaign.
As of late last week, the campaign had reached just 83.5% of the target, said chair Vicky Ducharme.
“We are asking every business and individual to think of the 36 local programs and services that rely on United Way funding,” she said.
“These programs are funded on three-year terms, and each have a measurable and impactful result in our community.”
The campaign closes its books on Dec. 31.
