Two more hazardous household waste days are scheduled in October.

Sarnia Lambton residents can drop off corrosive, toxic, reactive and flammable household waste at Clean Harbors' Lambton facility on Oct. 17 and 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The drop off location is 4090 Telfer Rd. for both dates.

Items accepted include batteries, cleaning chemicals, rat poison, pool chemicals, ammonia, bleach, aerosols, gasoline, paint, oils, solvents, and propane cylinders.

"These items should never be placed in a regular landfill because they have the potential to injure workers and damage the environment," said Matt Deline, Lambton’s Public Works Manager.

PCBs, commercial, industrial, radioactive wastes, electronics, and explosives will not be accepted.
