Two Lambton County men were arrested and charged in connection to a break, enter and theft in St. Clair Township last week.

Lambton OPP say officers were contacted regarding a possible break and enter in progress in the 400 block of Queen Street, around 11:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2.

“Upon arrival, officers located two males parked in a pickup truck within the immediate area. Upon contacting the occupants, officers arrested the individuals in relation to the reported property crime,” Lambton OPP said in a news release.

A 42-year-old Sarnia man and 27-year-old Forest man have been charged with mischief under $5,000 (six counts); break and enter (four counts); theft under $5,000 (two counts) and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The Sarnia man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court March 13; the Forest man has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 13.
