Sarnia’s popular Easter in the Park event returns to Canatara Park later this month.

“Easter in the Park is certainly a community favourite, and one we are excited to host again as we hop into spring at Canatara Park,” said the city’s parks and recreation manager Krissy Glavin.

The event, held in partnership with the Seaway Kiwanis Club, is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the area near the Children’s Animal Farm.

The main event, as in years past, will be the annual Easter Egg Hunt, with kids scouring the ground for coloured eggs that they can exchange for a treat.

Participants are reminded to bring their own basket.

The hunt takes place at 10 a.m., with separate areas for children aged four and under alongside those with accessibility needs; five to seven; and 8+.

Other attractions during the event include a visit from the Easter Bunny, inflatable bouncers, face painting, balloon twisting, Easter-themed crafts and performances by Circus Jonathan.
