Sarnia’s First Friday cultural walkabout is embracing summer with full line-up of live music, art exhibitions and downtown shopping on Friday, July 5. Many stores and galleries are open till 9 p.m., street and lot parking downtown is free after 6 p.m., and bike racks are conveniently placed throughout the downtown.

JUDITH & NORMAN ALIX ART GALLERY - 147 Lochiel St - 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. A scavenger hunt, draw for a prize.

COFFEE CULTURE - 130 Lochiel St. – 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - Live music with “Cailey and the Giant.”

ARTOPIA GALLERY & FRAMING - 188 Christina St N – 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. New work by Ariel Lyons - Customer appreciation gift certificates available.

PARALLEL JUNCTION - 176 Christina St. N. - Featuring the works of more than 40 artists and artisans.

BAYSIDE MALL, Christina Street entrance – 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Harmony for Youth vendor show with a BBQ, live band, and vendors inside and out.

DOWNTOWN MARKET - 140 Christina St. N. - 6 - 9 p.m. Live music.

CHEEKY MONKEY - 130 Christina St. N – 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Jazzed up live music with The BobCatz, and The Easel Has Landed show and sale by Bill Walters.

SILHOUETTES BOUTIQUE - 125 Christina St. N – 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Featuring live mannequins in the windows fashion show.

COWBOYS & INDIANS - 121 Christina St. N - Open until 9 p.m. Works by local First Nations artists.

THE LAWRENCE HOUSE CENTRE FOR THE ARTS - 127 Christina St. S - Exhibition Openings 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Hot Stuff/Cool Waters art, by members of the Centre; Mexican Dreams, a special Exhibit by Marlem Ramires Ruiz; and Spoken Word Poetry - Celebrating the Tamaracks Anthology, hosted by James Deal 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
