Sting fall to Knights heading into must-win Game 6 in Sarnia

The Sarnia Sting are heading into a must-win Game 6 after falling to the London Knights 5-2 at Budweiser Gardens, Friday.

London now leads the series 3-2 in the OHL’s Western Conference Finals heading into Sunday’s game at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

Game 5 opened with the Knights on the board first, holding onto a 1-0 lead through two periods.

Nolan Dillingham tied things up at 1-1 in the third period, but Denver Barkey and Ryan Winterton would fire back to take a 3-1 lead, before Easton Cowan’s empty net goal with just over two minutes left to play, made it 4-1 for the Knights.

The Sting's Sasha Pastujov scored with 1:05 left, but Winterton would score London's second empty-net goal, for a 5-2 final.

The series shifts back to Sarnia, Sunday at 2:05 p.m.

Tickets will be available for purchase on Saturday, May 6 at 10 a.m. during the in-person pre sale. Patrons can only purchase up to six tickets for the game.
