Sarnia Sting captain Ryan McGregor has signed a three-year entry-level deal with the National Hockey League’s Arizona Coyotes.
The 21-year-old native of Burlington, Ont. has 27 goals and 68 points this year.
McGregor played five seasons with the Sting and has been team captain for the past two. In January he set a new club record for the most games played in the team’s 26-year history.
He was originally a sixth round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2017 NHL draft, and was invited to rookie camp with the Columbus Blue Jackets last September.
