St. Patrick’s wrestlers stunned opponents with more than 20 podium finishes at the LKSSAA wrestling finals held Feb. 14 in Chatham.
The Fighting Irish girls swept the 41 kg category, with Ava Dasilva, Skye Ayotte and Gigi Janess grabbing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In total St. Patrick’s had 12 first place finishes and will send 41 wrestlers to the SWOSSAA finals, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 21 at Lambton College.
Another 30 Great Lakes wrestlers and 21 from Northern Collegiate also qualified.
