Sarnia Transits fares and transfers will return to pre-pandemic levels on June 1.

A single fare will cost $3 again and transfers, stopped last year to protect drivers by physical distancing, will also resume that date.

New printers have been installed on buses that automatically provide riders with transfer tickets.

“We are happy to have transfers back in place,” said acting transit manager Michelle Carter. “Transit is an essential service for so many citizen’s daily routines.”

Reduced rate brown tickets will no longer be available, but brown tickets purchased before June 1 will be honoured until the end of the year, the city said.
