Sarnia Sting secure top three draft picks

Published on

The Sarnia Sting have signed their top three draft picks.

Last week, Nolan Dann signed a standard player agreement with the club. He was the Sting’s 4th round selection and 68th overall at the 2019 Ontario Hockey Priority Selection.

The Cambridge native posted 65 points last season with the 2019 OHL Cup Finalist Toronto Red Wings. Dann also helped the Greater Toronto Hockey League’s Blue squad win the OHL Gold Cup in April.

Last month the Sting signed Justin O’Donnell, their second round pick and 35th overall, to a standard player agreement.

And in April, Sarnia secured highly touted goalie Benjamin Gaudreau, the team’s first round and seventh overall pick in the draft.

The Sting home opener is Sept. 20, when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs.
