Sarnia Police are warning residents about a scam in the area involving phone calls that allege to be from Hogan Pharmacy.

“These calls are being made by parties identifying themselves as Hogan Pharmacy,” a news release stated. “These parties are stating that they require your credit card information to process your order prior to delivery.”

The phone number may or may not show up as Hogan Pharmacy on call display.

“Please be advised these calls are a scam and Hogan Pharmacy does not solicit, obtain or request credit card information over the phone. Should you receive a call with such a request please hang up immediately and do not provide them with any of your personal information.

“If you have any questions please hang up and call the store directly yourself to speak with the pharmacy team.”

Police say residents should always hang up and call the company back. Take the time to research the number, and not call back with the number that they give you.

“Scams take on many forms and this is just another example of one taking place in our community.”
