A 33-year-old Sarnia man was charged with impaired driving after police spotted a vehicle speeding down Egremont Road in Warwick Township, Tuesday afternoon.

Lambton OPP say officers stopped the vehicle and, upon speaking with the driver, administered a roadside screening device, after it became apparent he had been consuming alcohol.

“The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to a Lambton OPP detachment where they provided two samples over the legal limit,” a news release noted.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Lambton OPP remind residents that if you see a driver who you suspect may be impaired by alcohol or drugs, contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or *OPP (677) on your mobile phone.
